For September we are meeting at Stephen Merryweather's, who has organized Elgin Audiophile Meetup, and extended the get-together with our group. To quote Stephen from his Meetup profile, "I have been strongly interested in audio for 45 years or so. I have been a musician, sound engineer, studio owner, speaker builder, music collector, and all round madman for a long time." Stephen builds his own horn, open-baffle, and high-efficiency speakers and will have a number on hand to demo.

The meeting will also feature Matthew Formanek, designer and builder from Toolshed Amps (www.toolshedamps.com ) who will be bringing along three of his designs to audition with Stephen's speakers (example below).
Stephen is also featuring a record sale as well as used audio equipment. You are welcome to bring yours to sell or trade as well. Do bring along your favorite records and CDs to listen.
