Meeting Topics 2006

January 15	CAS member Larry Musial demoed a TAD-1000 tube amplifier from Chicago-based Bizzy Bee Tube Audio Design (Paul Grzybek). The demo system included a Marantz CD-67SE modified by OGRE Systems, Larry's highly modified industrial Klipsch La Scala horn speakers augmented with a 6 cubic foot ported subwoofer enclosure, and Gregg Straley's interconnects and speaker wire. Larry's modified Klipsch RB-35 speakers were also demoed.
February 19	CAS member Bill O'Connell of Morningstar Audio Imports demoed his personal system for our listening pleasure. Bill distributes the Eastern Electric line of tube equipment and demoed the following system: Pair of Eastern Electric M520 integrated amplifiers (vertically bi-amped), Eastern Electric MiniMax upgraded /modded version Preamplifier, Eastern Electric MiniMax phono Preamp, Well Tempered Refernce turntable with a Shelter 901 cartridge, BPT Signature Plus power conditioner, Eastern Electric Tube Cd player, HDCD (No SACD), & Tannoy Churchill speakers ( Rosewood).
