  • JansZen Audio - A manufacturer of hybrid Loudspeakers using a combination of electrostatic and dynamic drivers.  They have Bookshelf size Stand-mounted and Floor Standing Speakers. The current company was started by David Janszen in 2005, but is a continuation and refinement of his father Arthur A. Janszen's electrostatic designs with Janszen Laboratory, Inc., founded in 1955.
  • Martin Logan - Manufacturer of mostly Electrostatic High-end Stereo and Home Theater Speaker Systems.
  • Muraudio - A Canadian manufacturer of curved electrostatic loudspeakers (ESL). The company was founded in 2011 by Murray Harman.  He spent 10 years of research and development to create Muraudio's patented Continuous Curve ESL.
  • Quad HiFi - A UK-based manufacturer of Electrostatic and Dynamic Driver/Ribbon Hybrid Speakers (Revela Series, S-Series & Z-Series), as well as tube and Solid State electronics.  This company has been in business since 1948.
  • Sanders Sound Systems - An Internet-Direct company located in Colorado that specializes in Electrostatic Loudspeakers (ESL), Amplifiers and Preamps.
  • Sound Lab - A manufacturer of High-end Full-range ​Electrostatic Loudspeaker Systems (ESL).

Thin Film Dipole Magnetic Ribbon Loudspeakers

  • Clarysis Audio - A Swiss manufacturer of Planar Ribbon Dipole Speakers in the style of Apogee Acoustics (1981 to 1999).  They have researched and found ways to further improve the original design.
  • Diptyque Audiolab - A French manufacturer founded in 2001 by Gilles Douziech and Eric Poix.  They strive to develop high-end speakers in the service of musical emotion that are also works of art.
  • Eminent Technology - A Tallahassee, FL-based manufacturer of hybrid Loudspeakers combining push-pull Planar Magnetic Drivers (Ribbon Drivers) with standard dynamic cone woofers.
  • Magnepan Loudspeakers - A manufacturer of  Thin Film Dipole Ribbon Speakers, the magnetic equivalent to electrostatic drivers.  These driver elements are typically known as Ribbon Drivers.  The company was founded in 1969 by Jim Winey.  It is based in White Bear Lake, MN.

  • Borensen Audio - A member of the Audio Group Of Denmark companies.  Borensen is the manufacturer of high-end audiophile Loudspeakers.  They design and manufacture every component of their speakers, including speaker drivers, magnets, crossovers and cabinets.  Their speakers employ planar ribbon tweeters.
  • Bowers & Wilkins (B&W) - A British manufacturer of high-end audiophile Loudspeakers. They produce, wired & wireless loudspeakers, Home Theater Loudspeakers and Headphones.  The company was founded in 1966 by John Bowers.
  • Bryston - A Canadian-based manufacturer of Audiophile Solid State Power Amps, Preamps, Phono Preamps, DACs, Power Isolation Devices, Home Theater Amps and Preamps, and Loudspeakers (Active, Passive and Wireless).
  • Burmester Audio - A German high-end audiophile company that manufactures a full line of products for home audio use.

  • Elac - A manufacturer of reasonably priced electronics and Loudspeakers, located in California.
  • Dynaudio - A Danish Loudspeaker maker, founded in 1977.  Dynaudio builds speakers using only their own drivers. They have a large range of high-end Loudspeakers for home stereo and Home Theater applications. They also have a professional division manufacturing monitors for recording studios as well as a division for auto installations.
  • Elac - A manufacturer of reasonably priced electronics and loudspeakers, located in California.
  • Electrocompaniet A manufacturer of high-end audiophile electronics located in Norway, in business since 1973.  Their EC Living line is their wireless audio collection for 2-channel stereo within a single room.  The collection includes a Streamer, a Streamer with built-in Amp, a small wireless Satellite Loudspeaker with Streamer and DAC built-in, a small wireless Satellite add-on Loudspeaker minus the Streamer and DAC, a Wireless Subwoofer and stands to mount the Satellite Loudspeakers.​

  • Estelon - Manufacturer of audiophile Loudspeakers that is located in Estonia.
  • Focal Loudspeakers - A French manufacturer of home audio and Home Theater Speakers, both wired and wireless.  Focal's core businesses are speaker drivers and high-fidelity Loudspeakers. Focal was founded in 1979 in Paris by engineer, high-fidelity enthusiast and technology journalist Jacques Mahul.
  • Gershman Acoustics - A Canadian designer and manufacturer of high-end Loudspeakers.  The company was founded in 1993 by Eli Gershman and Ofra Gershman.
  • Golden Ear Audio - A manufacturer of audiophile Loudspeakers, located in Irvine, CA.
  • Gold Note - An Italian company that manufactures a complete line of audiophile equipment that encompasses the entire audio chain.  Gold Note was founded in Firenze, Italy in 2012 by Maurizio Aterini.  Gold Note is the leading Italian manufacturer in the High-End audio industry. Their products are a statement of Italian craftsmanship, now sold in 50 countries.  
  • Harbeth - A British manufacturer of high-end audiophile Loudspeakers.  Their Loudspeakers are small to medium sized Bookshelf or Stand-mounted Monitor Speakers.

  • KEF - A British manufacturer of high-end audiophile loudspeakers. They produce, wired & wireless loudspeakers, Subwoofers, Home Theater loudspeakers and headphones.  The company was founded in 1961 by Raymond Cooke.
  • KLH - KLH is an audio company founded in 1957 as KLH Research and Development Corporation in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States, by Henry Kloss, Malcolm S. Low, and Josef Anton Hofmann originally to produce loudspeakers. KLH was once the largest loudspeaker company in the world. The company currently manufactures Floor-standing, Bookshelf-sized and Home Theater Loudspeakers.
  • Legacy Audio - A manufacturer of High-end Audiophile Loudspeakers located in Springfield, IL.  The company was founded in 1983 by engineering prodigy, Bill Dudleston, and co-founder, Jacob Albright, a seasoned craftsman in cabinetry. They currently manufacture Audiophile Home Loudspeakers for stereo systems as well as Home Theater Loudspeakers, Subwoofers, Center Channel Speakers and Satellite Speakers. 
  • Linn - Linn is an engineering company that manufactures Hi-fi and audio equipment. Founded by Ivor Tiefenbrun in Glasgow, Scotland, in 1973, the company is best known as the manufacturer of the Linn Sondek LP12 turntable.  The company manufactures Turntables, Loudspeakers (Powered, Passive and Wireless), Power Amps, Streaming Network Music Players, full systems and Whole Home Music Systems.  
  • Magico Audio - A manufacturer of dynamic Audiophile Loudspeakers, located in Hayward, CA.​
  • McIntosh - A manufacturer of high-end audiophile electronics and systems including Power Amps, Preamps, Integrated Amps, Phono Preamps, Headphone Amps, Home Theater Processors, Turntables, CD Players, Loudspeakers, Media Streamers and Home Theater Systems.  The company was founded in 1949 by Frank McIntosh and is located in Binghamton, NY.
  • Mission HiFi - A British-based manufacturer of Audiophile Loudspeakers, Subwoofers Integrated Amps and Home Theater Loudspeakers.
  • Monitor Audio - ​A British-based manufacturer of Audiophile Loudspeakers, Subwoofers, Integrated Amps and Home Theater Loudspeakers.  Their reputation was built on Loudspeakers, but they now also manufacture Home Theater Systems and electronics as well as Whole-house Multi-room Audio Electronics.​
  • Odyssey Audio - Indianapolis, IN-based manufacturer of great bang-for-the-buck audiophile electronics.  Products include Solid State Amps, Preamps, Integrated Amps, Loudspeakers, Cables and Equipment Racks.
  • Paradigm - A  manufacturer of audiophile loudspeakers, Home Theater Loudspeakers, Subwoofers and Outdoor and Wireless Loudspeakers.  The company is based in Toronto, Canada and was founded in 1982 by Jerry VanderMarel and Scott Bagby.
  • Piega - A Swiss manufacturer of high-end Audiophile Loudspeakers, most of which user Planar Magnetic Ribbon Tweeters.  They manufacture both wired and wireless models as well as Home Theater Speakers.
  • Polk Audio - An American speaker manufacturer founded by Matthew Polk, George Klopfer and Sandy Gross in 1972.  In 2015, the company's headquarters were moved to Carlsbad, CA.  They manufacture a wide range of Home Stereo, Home Theater Systems, Soundbars, In-wall, On-wall and In-ceiling Speakers, Outdoor Speakers and car and Marine Speakers.
  • ProAc - A British loudspeaker manufacturer founded by Stewart Tyler in 1979. They manufacture a wide range of highly regarded Audiophile Loudspeakers suitable for home stereo systems or Home Theater systems.  Their Loudspeakers include Stand-mounted Bookshelf-sized Monitors to large Floor-standing Tower Loudspeakers, as well as a Center-Channel Speaker.
  • PS Audio - A manufacturer of High-end Solid State electronics including, Power Amps, preamps, DACs, power regenerators, streamers and now, speakers located in Boulder, CO.  PS Audio was founded in 1973 by audio designers Paul McGowan and Stan Warren (with whose initials the company was named). 
  • PSB Speakers - A Canadian company founded in 1972 by Paul Barton that manufactures High-end Audiophile Loudspeakers for Home Stereo and Home Theater applications.
  • Quad HiFi - A UK-based manufacturer of Electrostatic and dynamic driver/Ribbon Hybrid Speakers (Revela Series, S-Series & Z-Series), as well as tube and Solid State electronics.  This company has been in business since 1948.
  • Raven Audio - A Texas-based designer and manufacturer of award-winning high-performance consumer-level Vacuum Tube Amplifiers.   Their product line includes Vacuum Tube-based Power Amps and Integrated Amps, Cables and Loudspeakers.
  • Reference 3A - A manufacturer of Audiophile Loudspeakers.  They produce a wide variety of Loudspeakers from small Mini-Monitors to large Floor-standing Speakers, as well as Speaker Stands and Custom Cables.  Reference 3A designs and builds their own drivers and have implemented a whole range of features that make their Loudspeakers unique.  The company is located in Ontario, Canada.

  • Reimer Speaker Systems - Small manufacturer of highly-regarded individually hand-built Audiophile Speaker Systems based in Cody, WY.
  • Revel - Founded in 1995 by Sanford Berlin, who was owner of the Madrigal Audio Laboratories, the company is an American loudspeaker manufacturer based in Stamford, CT.  The company designs and manufactures high-end Home and In-Vehicle Loudspeakers.  Their product line includes Loudspeakers for Home Audio, Home Theater, In-Wall, In-Ceiling, Extreme-Climate Outdoor and Auto applications.
  • ​Salk Sound - An Internet-Direct company that specializes in custom Loudspeakers and Subwoofers.  They manufacture high-end quality loudspeakers at a reasonable price.  Their product line includes Floorstanding, Monitor, and Home Theater Speakers (Bookshelf/Surround, Center Channel and Subwoofers).  The company is located in Pontiac, MI and was started by Jim Salk in the early 2000s.  ​
  • Sonus faber - A high-end manufacturer of Audiophile Loudspeakers.  Their speaker collections include reference High-end Speakers for Two Channel Stereo Systems, Home Theater systems and subwoofers, wireless speakers, outdoor speakers, automotive speakers and marine speakers, as well as custom In-wall systems.  Their speakers have won many international awards, and have been very highly rated in reviews.  Sonus faber was founded in 1983 by Franco Serblin.  Their Loudspeakers are handcrafted in Vicenza, Italy.
  • Spendor Audio - UK-based manufacturer of Audiophile Loudspeakers from Bookshelf to Floor-Standing and including Home Theater Loudspeakers.  Spendor was founded in the late 1960s by Spencer and Dorothy Hughes – the ‘Spen’ and ‘Dor’ in the name. 
  • Stenheim - A manufacturer of audiophile dynamic Loudspeakers located in Switzerland. The company was founded in 2010 by a group of former Goldmund engineers.  The company was sold to Jean-Pascal Panchard, who took over as CEO in 2012.  He was previously working for Nagra.  Stenheim's sLoudspeakers are known for their use of their proprietay aluminum cone drivers.
  • T+A - A German company in business since 1978.  They manufacture 
  • Tannoy - A company located in Scotland that manufactures Loudspeakers for Home Stereo and Home Theater applications.
  • Technical Audio Devices Laboratories (TADL or TAD) - Originally the name given to a project launched by Tokyo-based Pioneer Electronic Corporation (currently Pioneer Corporation) in 1975 to develop High-end speakers for professional use.  (TADL) was spun off from Pioneer Corporation in 2007 as a company dedicated to developing and marketing a broader range of TAD-branded products, which include High-end Amplifiers and Disc Players designed to bring the best out of TAD speakers. TADL’s mission is to inherit and advance the engineering prowess and assets accumulated by Pioneer in the high-end audio field over the years.
  • Triangle Audio - A world-renowned French manufacturer of High-end Audiophile Loudspeakers for Home Stereo and Home Theater applications.  The company was founded in 1980 by Mr De Vergnette, who was a designer and music lover. These two passions led him to develop his own speakers.
  • Vandersteen Audio - A California-based company founded in 1977 by Richard Vandersteen.  This award-winning company manufactures Audiophile Loudspeakers from Bookshelf to Floor-standing and Home Theater Loudspeakers as well as Power Amps.
  • Van L SpeakerWorks - A local, Chicago-based manufacturer of speakers using a crossfeed ambience enhancement system.
  • Vimberg - An award-winning German manufacturer of High-end Audiophile Loudspeakers. This is the company that started Tidal Audio.

  • Von Schweikert Audio - A manufacturer of High-end Audiophile Loudspeakers.  The company is located in Riverside, CA and was started by Albert Von Schweikert in 1996.​
  • Wharfdale - A British manufacturer of High-end Audiophile Loudspeakers suitable for Home Stereo or Home Theater applications.  They manufacture Bookshelf, Floor- standing, Center Channel Loudspeakers, Subwoofers, Speaker Stands as well as an Integrated Amp and a CD Transport.
  • Wilson Audio - A manufacturer of High-end Audiophile Loudspeakers, Subwoofers, Equipment Isolation accessories and audiophile recordings.  The company is based in Provo, UT, and was founded in 1974 by David and Sheryl Lee Wilson.
  • Wilson Benesch - A British company founded in 1983 that manufactures High-end Audiophile Loudspeakers using space age carbon or carbon-fiber parts. They also made highly-rated Turntables and Tonearms in the 1990s, but unfortunately, those products have been discontinued.
  • YG Acoustics - Founded in 2002 by Yoav Geva, (the YG in YG Acoustics), YG Acoustics is recognized as one of the leading manufacturers in the High-end audio industry.  Mr. Geva left the company in 2020, but supervised and assisted in the transition to new owners.
  • ZU Audio - Manufacturer based in Ogden, Utah, specializing in High-performance Speaker, Interconnect, Power and Headphone Cables, as well as several highly rated speaker systems.

  • Bayz Audio - The company was founded in 2011 by it's lead designer Zoltan Bayz.  He designed their Bayz Radial Speaker (BRS).  The BAYZ Audio speakers are handmade in Hungary, and are omnidirectional.  
  • Cabasse - A French company founded in 1950 by Georges Cabasse, has always been committed to the perfect reproduction of music and sound without any alteration, colouration, or distortion. Driven by research and the desire to constantly innovate, Cabasse invented and developed the coaxial speaker technology. This technology allows several speakers to be housed in a small space, offering music lovers the essence and thrill of pure sound.  They manufacture a number of different spherical cabinet loudspeakers.

  • MBL - The company was founded in Germany in 1979 by speaker designer Wolfgang Meletzky along with the help of two audiophile friends Bienecke, and Lehnhardt.  The company manufactures quite expensive High-end Loudspeakers and electronics.  All models of speakers are 360-degree omnidirectional Radialstrahler Speakers that share a unique spherical tweeter and midrange drivers.
  • Ohm Speakers - Online only sales of speakers employing the legendary Ohm Walsh driver.
  • Orb Audio
  • Scaena Iso-Linear Array Loudspeakers - A loudspeaker manufacturer located in Florida.  They produce a truly unique Loudspeaker design which uses a vertical line array of small multiple drivers. Scaena isolates each driver in its own smooth, molded container. It also uses a supertweeter composed of a long vertical array of Planar Ribbon Drivers and dual ​separate 18" Subwoofer enclosures.  The company was founded in 2004 by  George Bischoff, formerly of Melos Audio, along with Mark Porzilli.
  • Vivid Audio - Vivid was founded in 2004 by loudspeaker designer Laurence Dickie.  Vivid Audio manufactures High-end Audiophile Loudspeakers for Home Stereo and Home Theater applications.  The company's design and business offices are in the UK, and manufacturing facilities are located in South Africa.

  • ​Spatial Audio Lab - A direct sales company that manufactures a number of open baffle Loudspeakers.  The company was founded by Clayton Shaw, but due to health issues, the company was sold to Sam Whitt, a former employee of Spatial, along with his father, David Whitt. Despite this change, Clayton remains involved in the company, serving as the head of sales and offering invaluable business advice derived from his extensive experience in the high-end audiophile market.

  • Avantgarde Acoustic - A German company that manufactures high-end, very large high- efficiency horn-loaded Loudspeakers using a spherical funnel shaped "bionic" horn. The company vision is to build the best speakers in the world.  The company was founded in 1991 by Holger Fromme and Matthias Ruff in 1991.
  • Cessaro Horn Acoustics - A German company founded in 2006 that manufactures spherical horn-based Loudspeakers and a vacuum Tube-based Power Amp and a Solid State Preamp.
  • JBL Loudspeakers - JBL was founded in 1946 by James Bullough Lansing, an American audio engineer and loudspeaker designer.  It is headquartered in Los Angeles, CA, and serves the customer home and professional market.
  • Klipsch - An American loudspeaker company based in Indianapolis, IN. Founded in Hope, AR in 1946 as 'Klipsch and Associates' by Paul W. Klipsch, the company produces loudspeaker drivers and enclosures, as well as complete loudspeakers for high-end, high-fidelity sound systems, PA applications, and personal computers.  Since its inception, Klipsch has promoted the use of horn-loaded speakers as part of its goal to produce speakers featuring high efficiency, low modulation distortion, wide dynamic range and controlled directivity.
  • Living Voice Vox Loudspeakers - A British manufacturer of horn-based Loudspeakers, Living Voice Vox Loudspeakers is the brainchild of Kevin Scott, and was established in 1990.  
  • Volti Audio - Volti Audio is a small manufacturer horn-loaded Loudspeakers located in Baxter, TN.  The company was founded by Gregg Roberts in 2009.  His Loudspeaker designs are hand-built and are and based on original Klipsch Khorns.
